There’s a big birthday coming up. Washington on the Brazos will be one hundred years old next year. Since its inception, it’s grown from 50 acres to around 300. And to celebrate both the centennial and that growth, it’s asking for your help.
Park Ranger Adam Arnold tells Navasota News, with your help the park wants to put together a brand new exhibit and share your memories with the world.
The park would like as many stories as it can get says Arnold, and is also hoping to get old photographs of your park visits in time for next year.
And he asks that if you do make a contribution please send them a copy, and not your originals.
So if you’d like your memories on display for the big day, start combing through your scrap books and get your copies to Washington on the Brazos by the end of November. For more information, call 936-878-2214, Extension 228.
