Due to the recent severe weather, Navasota City Council not surprisingly spent the lion’s share of this week’s (April 27th)session dealing with both the debris the storm left in its wake, and the delays it’ll mean for several city projects.
City Manager Brad Stafford reported rain-caused delays in the utility relocation project on highway 6, the utility extension to the airport and the generator project for the city’s water wells.
Also Monday night, Mayor Bert Miller proclaimed the month of may as motorcycle safety awareness month. And Jeff Floyd of LCNG eco-fuels International gave a fascinating presentation for consideration about a possible anaerobic digester project.
Finally, city employees, Jessica Whitfield, Corey Williams, Norbert Valdez, Paul Wehunt and Jake Swasta were recognized by their boss, Stafford, for their hard work.
