If you have household hazardous materials, or other things to get rid of, you have chances this weekend!
Navasota Mayor Bert Miller mentioned at the latest city council meeting Friday’s disposal event going on out at Twin Oaks Landfill just off Highway 30.
“This one is where you can take aerosol cans, paint, batteries, computers, cooking oil, medications, and chemicals. I is free, no cost. If you have any of those items, they can be taken there,” said Miller.
That is just a one day event at the Landfill this Friday, October 21st.
If you live in Navasota proper, there is more opportunity to get rid of unwanted clutter through the weekend.
“Saturday and Sunday, the 22nd and 23rd, is the Fall Clean Up in Navasota. You can deliver large, bulky items….anything except hazardous waste. No building materials. But, you can bring couches, chairs, old furniture…anything you are trying to get rid of, bring it over o 520 Malcolm Street,” said MIller
The Navasota clean up event this weekend is at 520 Malcolm Street, and they will also be accepting tires.
