Young Farmers Selling Meat For FFA

March 10, 2016 by Willy1550

Believe it or not, Easter is three weeks from Sunday. But don’t despair. Once again Navasota’s Young Farmers want to help prepare your Easter Dinner, while funding the NISD’s FFA program.

Ag-Teacher and FFA Advisor Sharon Finke tells Navasota News you can help out by ordering whole racks of BBQ pork, and BBQ chickens by this Friday. And there’s also a large choice of baked goods too.

The bake sale will take place the day of pick-up and is first come first served. Last year she reports there were home-baked goods, like cakes, pies and even candy.

They understandably went fast, she smiles, making cooking over the holiday much easier for many grimes county families, adding that’s part of the reason why they do it. The other reason, of course, is for the kids.

Just figure out how many racks of ribs you’ll be wanting, at $20 a slab, and how many $10 barbecued chickens you’ll be needing, finke says, and put your order in by this Friday March 11th. Call 979-777-5635.
