Bo Barrow tabbed as next Iola head football coach, athletic director

June 20, 2022 by Willy1550

Iola ISD has announced its next head football coach and athletics director.

The district says they have tabbed Bo Barrow to be the new leader of the program and athletics department, following the resignation of Kerry Bamburg after three years on the job.

Barrow comes from being an assistant coach at Sabine High School in Gladewater, where he announced his departure last month to become the new baseball coach at Iola.

Barrow takes over a football team that went 2-7 last year, and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2011.

Iola’s district for football includes Bartlett, Bremond, Chilton, Granger, and Milano.
