Iola woman arrested for Hindering Apprehension of a Fugitive, after brother’s arrest on obstruction charges

February 28, 2022 by Andre Perrard

After sheriff’s deputies in Brazos County arrest an Iola man last week for obstructing in the apprehension of an escaped fugitive, the man’s sister, and escaped man’s girlfriend, has been arrested.

Deputies took 19 year old Cody Rowley of Iola into custody on Valentine’s Day, when he escaped from a local hospital while being treated.

During their investigation, they interviewed 19 year old Kaylie Sisco of Iola, who said she and Rowley has been dating 2-3 years. She also said the last time she had seen him was February 10th, when she dropped him off to surrender at the police station.

Later, Sisco told officers she had gone to pick Rowley up the night of the 14th, after he called to say he was released because of a “warrant roundup.” Sisco realized Rowley was lying when he hid in the backseat, and admitted he escaped. He then stayed at Sisco’s RV that night.

Rowley was re-arrested on February 17th in North Zulch.

Sisco was arrested, and charged with Hindering Apprehension. Her brother, 21 year old Clayton Sisco, was also arrested after sending threatening texts to officers, and faces obstructions charges.

Kaylie Sisco was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
